Cycle 11: Plant Magic
The moon doesn’t rush her becoming.
Full Beaver Moon in Taurus
November 5 2025 • 8:19am EST
Under the bright authority of the Taurus Full Moon, the Earth speaks in a language older than memory.
It is the Beaver Moon, named not for the animal alone but for the instinct within us that knows when to build, when to gather, when to shore up the edges of the life we’re creating. Beavers do not rush. They create habitats—sanctuaries—by working with the river, never against it.
Taurus teaches the same magic:
stability through devotion, beauty through patience, prosperity through alignment with nature.
The moon is swollen with earth-light.
Slow magic. Steady magic.
No fireworks—only deep roots.

The Ivy Moon
In the Celtic tree calendar, every lunar cycle carries a tree, an alphabet letter, and an instruction to the soul. This month we cross a threshold.
“I die where I cling.”
Ivy grows by entwining—holding fast to whatever it touches.
Her lesson is attachment:
what sustains you, and what drains you?
The Ivy Moon comes at the end of the harvest season, when we gather the last remaining fruits and decide what will carry us through winter. Ivy endures after other plants die back; she shows us how to stay strong, but also how to release anything that can no longer grow with us.
Direction. Command. Breath into form.
Reed is the 12th moon—the final chapter before the year resets.
Reeds become pipes and flutes; they turn breath into sound and sound into intention.
This is the moon of ancestry, messages, and prayer.
Where Ivy asks, “What must fall away?”
Reed asks, “What will you send into the world with your voice?”
Lotus Spread — The Plant Magic Portal
Card 1 — IVY (Gort)
Where am I clinging?
This card reveals what you are still holding—out of habit, fear, loyalty, or emotional attachment.
It shows the pattern that must be released before the new cycle can begin.
Card 2 — REED (Ngetal)
What am I ready to command?
This card names your direction.
It speaks to your voice, your boundaries, your authority.
Reed is breath becoming spell — your intention taking form.
Card 3 — PLANT MAGIC (Full Moon in Taurus)
What wants to root and grow?
This card shows what will flourish when you release (Ivy) and focus (Reed).
It reveals the seed that is ready to take shape in the material world.
