— where wisdom and worldly beauty merge into one luminous truth…

Sagittarius / Sekhmet

Phase of purification — the spiritual fire ignites, burning away the final debris of the earthly form. Life force withdraws into the deepest roots of Earth, preserved by the very flame from which it first arose.

Sekhmet-Bast, the sacred fire of regeneration, purges the soul of its lingering ties to matter so that it may move in rhythm with the universal pulse. Through this burning comes refinement — a tempering of the body and the restoration of divine vitality.

I wrote a bit about Sagittarius Season and the Lotus Dendera spreads that explored this same current — the path of spiritual expansion that follows purification — and on Sekhmet during Week 45.

Jupiter — Soul on the Ascendant of Matter

Planet of Luck & Expansion

Luck, growth, optimism, abundance, and the seeking of higher truths.
The planetary teachers — judges, sages, clergy, philosophers, promoters, and publishers — are ruled by this current of generosity and vision. Jupiter widens the field of possibility and reminds the soul that faith is a form of expansion.

The Ninth House — Realm of Exploration

Philosophy · Dreams · Ideals · Higher Education · Travel

Here the mind journeys beyond what is known. It is the house of wisdom, exploration, and the search for meaning — the horizon where knowledge becomes experience and belief becomes embodied truth.

  • What is my vision for the future?

  • Where can I be more truthful, to myself and to others?

  • What secret fears prevent me from living my most authentic life?

  • How can I find more balance and harmony within myself?

  • I am confident sharing my truth with the world.

  • I embrace how big my life is meant to be.

  • I take risks and have faith in the journey.

Key 14: Temperance

The Alchemy of Fire and Form

After Death clears the path, Temperance descends with grace — restoring harmony to what has been transformed. In this space of quiet equilibrium, we begin to understand why the clearing was necessary.

This is the art of adaptation and coordination — the merging of opposites into a single current of wisdom. Balance, moderation, and rhythm are her laws.

The ancient keyword of this Key is Sustenance, the establishment of order through verification. Temperance calls us to prove what we believe — to test our philosophy in the fires of experience. Wrath here is not rage but righteous force — the inner surge that demands truth and burns away illusion. It is through this sacred fire that the soul is tempered, as steel forged in flame becomes unbreakable.

Sagittarius rules this Key: the arrow of focused life-force that pierces through illusion and directs the spirit toward higher ideals. Through concentration, the fiery current becomes a bridge to elevated consciousness.

Temperance teaches us to verify our destiny as manipulators of the Life Power — the Kundalini itself. Not by concept or creed, but by practice, by direct communion with the flame that lives within. When verified through experience, that Presence becomes your sustenance — your living proof of the divine within form.

And just like that… we have completed the deck.

A year ago this week, I was putting the finishing touches on this little Substack and preparing to begin. There are four remaining Lotus Cards that I’ll be sharing over the next two weeks, inshallah, to complete this ouroboric journey.

At that time, I’ll be shifting my rhythm—posting reflections only at the turning of each season rather than weekly. Other series will continue until they find their natural close: The Full Moon Goddess Series has 3 cycles remaining, Voyage to Atlantis has 5 more chapters, and the New Moon Wishes will be complete after Scorpio on November 20.

Scorpio Season marked my first content post last year, and its messages remain evergreen. For now, it doesn’t feel necessary to document my current journey in the same way—new ideas and projects are beginning to call; the veil returns.

This week we also journeyed with Maa Kamalatmika, the tenth and final of the Dasha Mahāvidyās, the Great Wisdom Goddesses of Tantra as taught by Aja Sole.

Embodiment of Prosperity · Beauty · Fulfillment

Kamalatmika is the radiant lotus goddess, often considered the tantric form of Lakshmi. Where Lakshmi governs the outer prosperity of the world, Kamalatmika governs the inner flowering of abundance — the spiritual wealth that arises when the heart has bloomed through every preceding initiation.

She sits upon a fully opened lotus, symbolizing purity amidst the waters of the world. The lotus is her teaching: though rooted in the mud of matter, it blooms untainted, face lifted toward the light.

Her gifts are grace, contentment, beauty, fertility, and the prosperity that sustains righteous living. She is the serenity that comes when all desires have been purified and the devotee can finally enjoy the world without attachment.

This week in Bali, last year…

  • The boys were living their best life

  • I wrote the list of cards at a cafe in Ubud (10/21/24) called Moon by Sun

  • I went to my favorite little spa for the first time

  • Was obsessed with Avocado smoothies

  • Boy Heru brought home his first leopard gecko; Shakti Electric Orange

  • a Monitor lizard ran into the kitchen, then dove into our pool

  • the adventure was unfolding before us, waiting to be written…
